Robert W. Zilliox, Jr. is a canon lawyer with a broad-based advocacy and procurator practice. He has served as the Defender of the Bond in numerous marriage cases and has served as the Promoter of Justice in a number of penal cases. He has successfully represented multiple individuals; including priests, religious and dioceses in both administrative and penal proceedings, as well as serving to mediate resolutions in a wide variety of other matters.
Over the course of the past 10 years, Robert has taught canon law to both deacons and pastoral associates at the college level and in the diocesan seminary. He was instrumental in designing a course for the newly established office of pastoral administrators in the Diocese of Buffalo and has been heavily involved in courses, seminars and conferences on the annulment process and the procedural norms of Mitis Iudex.
Mr. Zilliox earned his J.C.L. from the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. and is a member of the Canon Law Society of America.
